....and it's another movie by the same Production Company (Cinema Service) as Ssawoom and a couple of other movies he has done like Public Enemy, Silmido, Another Public Enemy, I Wish I Have A Wife, Jailbreaker, etcetc. does the man ever rest? it's going to be a new instalment of the Public Enemy series started by Cinema Service and of course they'd want the same man to reprise his role in their original hit Public Enemy! i just hope Cinema Service doesn't use this as a means to rush the production of Ssawoom. below is the article:

SEOUL – Cinema Service founder Kang Woo-suk has announced a new installment to his highly successful "Public Enemy" series of films.

"Kang Cheol-jung" (original language title) is slated to start shooting this fall, and is hoped to extend helmer's stellar run at the Korean box office which includes the original "Public Enemy" (2002, $14.8 million), "Silmido" (2003, $57.7 million), "Another Public Enemy" (2005, $23.4 million) and the big-budget Hanbando" (2006, $26 million).

New pic is set four years after the original film in the series, with actor Sol Kyung-gu reprising his role as a corrupt and ruthless police detective. Sol played a different character in the second film in the series, "Another Public Enemy".

Helmer and playright Jang Jin, who launched production shingle K&J Entertainment with Kang in 2005, will also contribute to the film's screenplay.

Other thesps to appear include Jung Jae-young ("Welcome to Dongmakgol"), Kang Shin-il ("Black House"), and Im Won-hee ("Three... Extremes").

Seol Gyeong Gu and Kim Tae Hee who challenge barbarous body fights in the movie 'Ssawoom' (Director Han Ji Seung, Production Cinema Service-Sangsang Film) became complete recently as they attended the Daejong Film Awards ceremony on the eighth and posed intimately in front of the cameraman.

'Ssawoom' is a 'Hard-boiled romantic comedy' which draws the process of a married couple changing into 'Bitter enemies' when they enter the stage of weariness and cannot cancel their dissatisfaction with each other at the right time. Seol Gyeong Gu appears as the husband Sang Min who is six years older while Kim Tae Hee takes charge of the role Jinah, a 28-years old glass artist.

After boasting of a fantasy match even in the filming session locations, the two stepped on the red carpet together on this day's ceremony. A concerned party of 'Ssawoom' clarified, "Seol Gyeong Gu does not regret the consideration of Kim Tae Hee who's casting was decided relatively late. The atmosphere at the site is very good as jokes are mutually exchanged. Please expect to see an appearance of Kim Tae Hee that is different by 180 degrees as she is challenging the role of a strong-minded woman who attacks her husband with a stick."

The 'Couple in Black' walked the red carpet together despite a tight filming schedule whereby they had to continue with their filming for Ssawoom on the night of the ceremony. Lead Actors of Ssawoom nominated for Awards at the upcoming 44th Annual Daejong Film Festival

Congratulations to both Seol Gyeong Gu and Kim Tae Hee for their latest award nominations! And no, don't be surprised, they aren't nominated for Ssawoom since it's still in the filming stages. They have been nominated for their work in their last films. And we only want to wish them the best, hopefully both will be able to bring home the awards in the respective categories they are nominated in!

Seol Gyeong Gu has been nominated in the Best Actor award category for his role in the February 2007 release movie, Voice of Murderer, which happens to be the biggest selling Korean movie released in 2007 so far. He is up against competition like Jo In Seong (A Dirty Carnival), Ahn Seong Gi (Radio Star), Lee Dae Geun (Long Day's Journey into Night) and Song Kang Ho (The Host).

Kim Tae Hee has been nominated in the Best New Actress Award category for her role in the December 2006 release movie, The Restless. She is up against competition like Go Hyeon Jeong (Woman on the Beach), Hyeon Yeong (The Best Romance), Jo I Jin (South of the Border) and Shin Ae Ra (Ice Bar).

Actor Seol Gyeong Gu and actress Kim Tae Hee will officially start work on 'Ssawoom' and connect as a married couple.

Lead Actors of Ssawoom make Top 10 Popularity lists in first half of 2007

Congratulations to the lead actors of Ssawoom for making the Top 10 list of Most Popular Male and Female Actors respectively in the first half of 2007.

Jang Dong Geon and Kim Hye Su topped both lists in an investigation executed by Leespiar marketing research firm on 1317 people nationwide in five large cities from 25~31 March.

Seol Gyeong Gu came up at #9 for the Most Popular Actors list while Kim Tae Hee is at #2 in the Most Popular Actresses list.

Sol Kyung-gu (b. May 1, 1968) studied at Hanyang University Department of Film and Theater, and upon graduation appeared in numerous theatrical productions. In the mid-1990s he began taking on minor roles in feature films, but it was not until 1999 that he made his breakthrough with major roles in The Bird That Stops in the Air, Rainbow Trout, and above all else, Peppermint Candy. The critical acclaim and larger-than-expected popular appeal of this film instantly transformed Sol into one of the most respected young actors in Korea.

After the rather heavy-themed work of his early career, Sol then appeared in a mix of genre movies and more serious work. He starring in the romantic comedy I Wish I Had a Wife with Jeon Do-yeon in 2001, and then acted in a Japanese TV drama produced by NHK.

The year 2002 was huge for Sol, starring in three major films which effectively made him into one of the most popular actors in Korea. As a violent police detective in Public Enemy he won both local acting awards and many new fans as the film drew close to 3 million viewers. In August, he starred in Lee Chang-dong's highly acclaimed third film Oasis, which won the Best Director Award at the Venice Film Festival, and which won him yet more acting awards in Korea. Finally in November, he acted together with Cha Seung-won in the smash hit Jail Breakers by popular director Kim Sang-jin.

Sol continued his hot streak in 2003 when he starred in Silmido directed by Cinema Service founder Kang Woo-suk, which became the first Korean film in history to gross 10 million admissions. His next role was as the title character in Rikidozan, about the legendary ethnic Korean pro wrestler who became a national hero in Japan in the 1950s. Sol gained 20kg for the role and also delivered 95% of his lines in Japanese. Despite winning great praise for his performance, however, the film vastly underperformed on its local release.

In 2005, Sol starred in the sequel to Public Enemy (Another Public Enemy), which ended up outgrossing the original, and also signed on to star in a melodramatic love story together with Song Yoon-ah (Lost in Love).

Kim Tae Hee, to appear in 'Ssawoom (Quarrel)' as Seol Gyung Gu's wife

Kim Tae Hee who debuted on screen through 'Joongchun (Middle Heaven)' has finalized her appearance in the movie 'Ssawoom.'

Kim Tae Hee's agency Namoo Actors commented on the 9th, "The character was so lively and realistic that we decided to take the role as soon as we received the scenario."

This will be the first time Kim Tae Hee will be acting a married character. Her role is a glass artist who is the wife of a university professor played by Seol Gyung Gu. Also notable is her age difference with the 39 year old actor.

Kim Jong Do, CEO of Namoo Actors, says, "The role being of a married character was not a burden. I believed it to be a good opportunity for Kim Tae Hee to grow as an actress and didn't take long to come to a decision."

He also said, "'Joongchun' was also a piece where she learned a lot from, but the lackluster results actually brought out some regret of the fans. I hope her will to establish herself as an actress rather than a star is delivered."

The movie is by Director Han Ji Seung who also gathered praise for the drama series 'Alone in Love' in drawing the emotions of a divorced couple.

The movie will be about a couple reaching a period of lassitude that is not able to control their emotions and start hurting each other through quarreling, and start realizing the true meaning of love. A couple who does not choose to part displays the disappointment and hatred towards the other through the most simple way of communication, quarreling.

The movie is set to crank in at the end of this month, or the beginning of next.
