Kim Tae-Hee, Same Feelings as Kang Dong-Won
8-14-2007

Kim Tae-Hee, currently filming the drama, “War” with Seol Kyeong-Gu, has been given much praise for her work by the staff, and is receiving plenty of love at the filming location for her great manners and humble attitude. Kim Tae-Hee receives top-star treatment in the CF industry, but there has been a lot of word when it comes to her acting ability, giving her no time to relax and always feeling rather tense. However, Kim Tae-Hee was able to overcome her anxieties in order to continue her acting, making the staff very happy.

On the 26th, a representative from the drama “War” stated, “I am very excited to see the final shooting of the film. Although there has been a lot of talk of Kim Tae-Hee’s acting ability, there is no need to worry. If I was to make a comparison, I would say that her acting resembles that of Kang Dong-Won in ‘Our Happy Hour’. As the drama progresses, you can say that her acting explodes. It is safe to say that it is a movie to be anticipated.”

Kim Tae-Hee carried a premium when she debuted in the entertainment industry as she was a Seoul National University graduate. For this reason, there were many comments stating that her acting abilities were poor compared to her beauty. What’s worse, a portal site displayed pictures of Kim Tae-Hee from her dramas, “Biography of a Nine-Tailed Fox”, “Love Story in Harvard”, and “Mid-Heaven”, all showing the same facial expression with big round eyes, stating that she only has one expression.

However, these views are slowly changing. The representative continued, “As Kim Tae-Hee changes in every episode, her encouragements do not cease. Her co-star Seol Gyeong-Gu is also commending her on her sincere hard work. The two stars get along very well on and off the screen, even to the point where Seol Gyeong-Gu would even joke saying, ‘Come sit over here, honey’.”

Director Han Ji-Seung’s first accomplishment was the pairing of the two stars Gam Woo-Seong and Son Ye-Jin in the SBS drama “Time of Love”. “War” is scheduled to finish filming next month and is to air in September.

'Deadly enemies in front of the camera? The highest affinity at the back!'

Seol Gyeong Gu and Kim Tae Hee who challenge barbarous body fights in the movie 'Ssawoom' (Director Han Ji Seung, Production Cinema Service-Sangsang Film) became complete recently as they attended the Daejong Film Awards ceremony on the eighth and posed intimately in front of the cameraman.

'Ssawoom' is a 'Hard-boiled romantic comedy' which draws the process of a married couple changing into 'Bitter enemies' when they enter the stage of weariness and cannot cancel their dissatisfaction with each other at the right time. Seol Gyeong Gu appears as the husband Sang Min who is six years older while Kim Tae Hee takes charge of the role Jinah, a 28-years old glass artist.

After boasting of a fantasy match even in the filming session locations, the two stepped on the red carpet together on this day's ceremony. A concerned party of 'Ssawoom' clarified, "Seol Gyeong Gu does not regret the consideration of Kim Tae Hee who's casting was decided relatively late. The atmosphere at the site is very good as jokes are mutually exchanged. Please expect to see an appearance of Kim Tae Hee that is different by 180 degrees as she is challenging the role of a strong-minded woman who attacks her husband with a stick."

since already 2 separate articles about this upcoming movie kinda mention the 1989 Hollywood movie 'The War of the Roses' directed by Danny DeVito and starring Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner as the married couple, interested fans may like to check that movie out.

the tagline of that 1989 movie is: Once in a lifetime comes a motion picture that makes you feel like falling in love all over again. This is not that movie.

Angel Kim Tae Hee, 'Ssawoom transformation' ... Movie 'Ssawoom' Sharp temper acting

Input: May 24, 2007 21:13:54

'Beautiful female star' Kim Tae Hee transforms herself into a perfect fight/quarrel professional. Kim Tae Hee gives up her existing image in the movie 'Ssawoom' (director Han Ji Seung, Production Cinema Service & Sangsang Film) which she is filming at present. She reforms into a woman who has a strong mind and does not fear at all when she is involved in a body fight or argument with a man.

In the movie 'Ssawoom', the married couple enters into a period of languor/weariness and cannot cancel out the mutual dissatisfied feelings towards each other during married life, even reaching body fights in the process that is drawn as a 'Hard boiled romantic comedy thing'. Kim Tae Hee takes charge of the role of 28 year old glass artist Jinah. Seol Gyeong Gu appears as the husband Sang Min who is 6 years older. The acting is a pressurising competition between the married couple which is not inferior to that in two Hollywood movies 'The War of The Roses' and 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith'.

The first time when the casting of Kim Tae Hee was done for 'Ssawoom', there were a lot of 'Unexpectedness' in evaluations. It is because the actress with a feminine image goes out as a woman who attacks her former husband with a stick and says abusive language/bad things when the unbridgeable gulf feelings between them is too large. But after filming had started at the beginning of this month (May), it became clear that it was needless to worry for the future.

A person from the 'Ssawoom' production team expressed satisfaction, "For the appearance in the role of Jinah, the acting can actually be felt and misunderstanding may be shown as one may wonder whether the original appearance is the real thing. Kim Tae Hee laughs in the filming session locations and the flower is in blossom for a long time in the palpable acting." With this, he had confidence, "Kim Tae Hee would certainly run and prove her ability as an actor through 'Ssawoom'." 'Ssawoom' is planning to be opened in this fall.

The name of Kim Tae Hee's role in Ssawoom is....

Jina

that is according to this new korean article released on may 24.

from the article, it is mentioned that Kim Tae Hee is taking charge of the role of Jina, a 28-years old glass artist. Seol Gyeong Gu appears as her husband who is six years her senior in the movie. The article also mentions that the two act out the closing in war between a married couple which is not inferior to that in Hollywood films 'The War of the Roses' (1989) starring Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner and also 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' (2005) starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

if i'm not wrong, it is said that 'beautiful female star' Kim Tae Hee transformed perfectly into this new role even though in the beginning there were a lot of evaluations of 'unexpectedness' when Kim Tae Hee was casted in Ssawoom. this is mainly because the role is different from the feminine image of the actress. but after filming had started at the beginning of this month, it became clear that it was needless to worry for the future.

someone from the production team even expressed his/her satisfaction in Kim Tae Hee and mentioned that he/she is laughing at the transparent acting of Kim Tae Hee and is engaged all the while during filming. according to him/her, he/she has the confidence that Kim Tae Hee would certainly prove her ability as an actress through Ssawoom!

well, i know i certainly can't wait till Ssawoom opens in korea this fall.

i inferred all the above from here. it's only a rough explanation this time, will try to do a proper translation earliest 1 week later if no english translations are out yet and if time permits.

Moreover, her partner Seol Gyeong Gu has the power to show a myriad of colors meanwhile not shown which is still expected a little more strongly by the audience.

The movie 'Ssawoom' is scheduled to open in the coming autumn season.

Kim Tae Hee, to appear in 'Ssawoom (Quarrel)' as Seol Gyung Gu's wife

Kim Tae Hee who debuted on screen through 'Joongchun (Middle Heaven)' has finalized her appearance in the movie 'Ssawoom.'

Kim Tae Hee's agency Namoo Actors commented on the 9th, "The character was so lively and realistic that we decided to take the role as soon as we received the scenario."
